After School Art is a 4-week program happening every Tuesday, designed for young creatives eager to explore new art styles. Each month will feature a different theme to keep things fresh and exciting. These sessions will be led by Lauren, who brings 16 years of art teaching experience where she created curriculums and grew her own successful youth art program. Now, she’s bringing her passion and expertise to The Art House to inspire the next generation of artists!

Impressionism is one of the most famous art movements in history that was started by Claude Monet and his friends in the 19th century. For the first time artists painted what they wanted to paint. They painted landscapes, portraits and still life how they saw them and not how they were told to paint them. In this class students will be introduced to the artists who worked in the Impressionist style. Each week students will learn about a new artist through a visual and fun educational lecture and then they will recreate the artist’s paintings in the Impressionist style. Come and “Impress” us with your painting skills!
